A couple weeks ago a few friends and I stumbled upon the Cosmic Crab...It was by far one of the best resturants that we have been to while traveling throughout Costa Rica and Panama. I reccomend going in the evening as the sun is going down. The resturant is positioned right on the water. We were litterally enjoying our meal on the ocean! As the sun went down the view was beautiful...lights reflected off the water creating a spectacular atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was to die for. The owner took the time to chat with us about our travels and make sure that we were having an enjoyable experience. At the end of our meal she even offered us the use of her families kyaks for the following day (unfortunately we had to pass because we were leaving). I must say that they had the best margaritas I have ever had. You mush try the passion fruit margarita...it is like nothing you have every had!! Did I mention the prices are cheap!? If you go during sunset they have a 3 course special. Salad or soup, entre, and dessert for only $8 !!! My friends and I had a wonderful experience here and I reccomend it to anyone traveling to Bocas.

I just came back from a weekend trip in Bocas del Toro. Looking for restaurants to eat, somebody recommend us Cosmic Crab. After two minutes water Taxi we get into the best place there: overlooking Isla Colon and taking advantage of it, all tables are placed waterfront. The owners gave the welcome and sitting us at the pier. We have the most memorable dinner in a long time: try the Banana leaf catch of the day (fish with pineapple and vegetables cooked wrapped in a Banana leaf) wow! The Margaritas ar the best in town. We also tried a coconut shrimp that night.
Next day, we was looking for another restaurant, service was poor on very well renamed placed (sitting and nobody took the order for about 15 mins) so we walked out and cross the sea again to get in there. We meet a couple from Colorado, another from Belgium and holland and another from Colorado and Nicaragua. Took the same boat and have another memorable dinner there. Try the lobster tails with passionfruit butter and the Key Lime pie. Of course, pitchers of Margaritas prepared by the owner.
Don't try another place, food are carefully prepared, reliable, fresh
And simply THE BEST
